LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

By Ms. Sushma Rai – Montessori Teacher

In our Montessori classroom, play is more than fun — it’s how children learn best. Whether they're building with blocks, matching shapes, pouring water, or working with beads, every activity is carefully designed to help children grow.

We focus on helping children become independent thinkers. When a child chooses an activity, concentrates on it, and completes it with joy, they are building confidence and focus. Our classroom is calm and welcoming, where each child works at their own pace.

As a teacher, I guide rather than instruct. I watch, observe, and support the child when needed. It's magical to see young learners discover new things on their own. Montessori learning helps children become curious, kind, and responsible — and that’s a gift they carry for life.

LITTLE HANDS, BIG DISCOVERIES

By Mr. Dipsana Shrestha – Montessori Teacher

Every day in our Montessori classroom is full of discoveries. Children learn best by doing — touching, moving, and exploring. Whether they are counting beads, planting seeds, or painting with their fingers, their brains are growing with every action.

We focus on life skills too — like buttoning a shirt, pouring juice, or sweeping the floor. These activities may seem simple, but they help children become confident and independent. They also learn patience, coordination, and care for their environment.

Our goal is to create a happy space where children feel loved and respected. When they feel safe, they’re ready to learn. I feel proud when I see children help each other, share smiles, and say “I did it!” after finishing a task. That joy of learning is what Montessori is all about.
